Maple Tonewoods

Tonewoods must have excellent acoustic properties, be strong enough to support string tension for decades, and be beautiful in appearance. Figured Maple is a traditional tonewood. Stradivarius violins are a great example of this.

Modern acoustic and electric guitars use maple extensively for necks, tops, and bodies.

We supply all of these parts in three types: Birdseye Maple, Figured/Curly Maple, and Plain Maple. We supply both flatsawn and quartersawn grain orientation.
